Welcome to Social Studies with Mr. Steffen

6th Grade World Studies:  Students will study ancient civilizations, such as the Sumerians, Egyptians, Greeks, Chinese and Romans.
7th Grade Social Studies:  Students will study Minnesota history, geography, and civics.
8th Grade U.S. History:  Students will study the history of the United States from the 1800's to events in our world today.  Students also have the opportunity to attend the Washington DC Field Trip.

All grades will participate in the National Geography Bee.  All students will also work on current events on a regular basis to strive for understanding connections between our past and today's events.
